The Afghan kazan may look exotic and unusual, but in fact, it is nothing more than a regular pot with thick walls and streamlined sides. And so you can cook all the familiar dishes in it: pilaf, soups, porridge, vegetables, any meat, poultry. Dishes cooked in the Afghan kazan turn out much tastier and more fragrant - stewed, they preserve all the vitamins and cook quickly. Even the toughest types of meat and wild animal bones can be tenderized in it in just a few minutes. It is a kind of excellent symbiosis of a pressure cooker and an Uzbek kazan.

The Afghan kazan without a lid can be used as a regular pot or pan, and with a closed lid - as a pressure cooker. In addition, you can combine several cooking methods in one dish. For example, first fry onions and meat, add spices, pour in water, throw in vegetables and bring the dish to readiness under a lid on low heat.

The streamlined shape of the kazan allows the flames to "lick" the pot evenly from all sides. The steam and pressure that form inside the container quickly and gently subject the ingredients to heat treatment. In a very short time, all the ingredients manage to soak up internal juices and aromas, become tender and juicy.
